I voted Rome, but honestly I love any time period that's well delved into! Song dynasty, Victorian era, Belle Epoque, roaring 20s, Heian era, age of sail—there's so much that invites fun reworking ♡ For recs, it's a bit candy but I have a lot of fun with the Gilded Age, and I've been obsessive over the shows Interview with the Vampire and Arcane. For high prestige drama, Industry, Vida, and The Glory are what I'm working through rn and liking
I love all those time periods but know woefully little about them - or just enough to be dangerous, as they say. More history books to read. Thank you for all the TV recommendations, I haven't watched any of these so adding them all to the queue. Need to decide which one to start first, Gilded Age, Interview with the Vampire (I was slow to start because I hate when TV sanitizes books) or Arcane!
I’m reading through old newsletter and wanted to chime in to say I love Vida! I never see it recommended enough and it’s one of my all time favorite shows.
Unfortunately I don’t! Really not much out there I can find, which surprises me considerably. There’s lots of tech-based erotic mind control, ranging from very good to utterly predictable word-wooze, but all set in the here and now. Where are the cog-wheel powered/spark gap radio controlled vibrators? The steam-powered corsets?
The data shows how horrible these virus shots are in so many areas. Makes Post time seem so much more real. Eggs and sperm are destroyed. Avoided by no shots taken. Seems a does of reality that lends itself to a story of a kennel of males and females that are provided and sold for stud services. Puppy stuff but with a use of more than play.
I just found you and love your work. I was hoping to find more of the Bandslave. I love it so far. Thank you
Thank you - I'm still working on that one!

Because I’m a steampunk fan.
Thanks for the Bandslave excerpt!
Steampunk BDSM is all sorts of intriguing. If you have any steampunk BDSM book or story recommendations I would love to read some!

I lack the imagination to create and write in such a world myself, but even I can see the possibilities are endless.
Some show recommendations: The Bear (what I’m currently watching!), interview with a vampire, the glory (kdrama, delicious revenge thriller)
Someone else also recommended Interview with a Vampire and The Glory! I hadn't heard of The Glory, so I think I must take a look.
As for The Bear that's been on my list since I saw someone make a reference to how Yes Chef is like Yes Daddy.
Thank you for the show recommendations!
